2012 Scholarship winners named

Twenty-two high school students who are headed off to college this fall are doing so with $1,000 scholarships from Travis Credit Union. They are the 2012 recipients of Mary Keith Duff Memorial Scholarship, a program aimed to help college-bound TCU members with college expenses.

This annual scholarship program, now in its eighth year, is meant to demonstrate the credit union's commitment to higher education in the communities we serve. This year's scholarship winners received their awards on June 4, 2012, at a ceremony held in the Community Room of TCU's headquarters in Vacaville. The finalists were selected by the Scholarship Committee, made up of credit union board members, volunteers and senior staff.

The committee wishes to thank every student who applied for these awards. Travis Credit Union applauds the accomplishments of some of our best and brightest 2012 graduates, and we wish them good luck in their endeavors. We're certain that our future community and industry leaders are among these motivated and energetic young adults.
