TCU Teams Up Against Drugs
On Oct. 28, TCU employees participated in the Vacaville AWARE Coalition's inaugural Team Up Against Drugs event. The Advocating for Wellness Adolescent Recovery & Education program asked people in the Vacaville community to wear their favorite sports or school team shirt or jersey in an effort to team up against drugs.
Holiday Stocking Campaign Helps
During the month of December, Travis Credit Union conducted its annual Holiday Stocking Campaign to help the Children's Miracle Network (CMN). The money raised from the $1 paper stocking sales at TCU branches went directly to a CMN-affiliated, non-profit hospital in our community.
Nov. 15, TCU sponsored the 2011 Cal Grant presentation at the California State Maritime Academy's campus. More than 500 area high school students and faculty were welcomed by Patsy Van Ouwerkerk, president and CEO of Travis Credit Union, who reminded the students that financial resources are available to those who desire to attend college or vocational school.
Christmas Wish Program fundraisers

Holiday Craft Fair
On Nov. 17, the credit union held an employee Holiday Craft Fair, with proceeds from raffle tickets to benefit the Heather House, which is a homeless shelter in Fairfield.
Annual Wreath-laying Ceremony
On Dec. 10, Travis Credit Union employees participated in the annual wreath-laying ceremony at the Sacramento Valley National Veterans Cemetery in Dixon. More than 5,000 wreaths were placed on the graves of military veterans.
