Free Shred Events

Protecting your privacy is important for your financial wellness. Our free shred events allow you to properly dispose of personal and financial information. Shredding personal records and financial documents are effective ways to defend against identity theft and other forms of fraud.

Stay tuned for our 2025 Shred Event Calendar coming soon!

What to Bring to Shred

Consider shredding paperwork that includes:

  • Account numbers
  • Birth dates
  • Passwords and PINs
  • Old forms with signatures
  • Social Security Numbers

Before You Visit a Shred Event

  • Place documents in the backseat or trunk of your vehicle with labels.
  • Remain in your vehicle when you arrive and follow the signs directing you to the shred trucks.
  • When it’s your turn to drop-off, unlock your doors or trunk. Event staff will remove the items you specific for shred.

Please note that these events have the potential to conclude ahead of schedule should the shred truck reach capacity. Additionally, please be aware that shred events may be subject to cancellation in the event of inclement weather.

Safety Measures in Place

  • We’ll have signage and team members directing you to our drop-off sites.
  • No contact event. We’ll safely unload your vehicle and prepare your items for shredding.

Travis Credit Union genuinely cares about the financial needs and well-being of our members and communities. Learn more about our Financial Wellness efforts.
